Καθημερινά διδάσκονται επί κλίνης τεχνικές εξέτασης των αρθρώσεων, παρακεντήσεις αρθρώσεων και διηθήσεις αυτών, εξέταση του αρθρικού υγρού και χορήγηση θεραπευτικών ουσιών στις αρθρώσεις, εξέταση των ασθενών με υπέρηχο και εκπαίδευση των ειδικευομένων στους υπερήχους του μυοσκελετικού.
Every Tuesday between 8.00-9.00 lectures take place on current subjects of interest in rheumatology. All the doctors from the clinic participate as speakers and there are also invited speakers from other hospital departments, from the University of Ioannina, as well as visiting speakers from other universities.
At the end of the year, trainee doctors go through written examination so that their scientific sufficiency and progress are being verified.
Clinical studies are underway involving rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren's syndrome, the spondylarthropathies and scleroderma as well as interesting cases.
Clinical studies which involve the epidemiology of rheumatoid arthritis, the radiological progression of the disease, the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and of spondylarthropathies all the spectrum of rheumatology.
Title of speciality in Rheumatology is granted after four years of training.
